Have you ever wanted to draw but thought, “I’m just not good at this”—or maybe you’ve been creating for a while and feel ready to stretch a little more? The Gardener’s Palette is your invitation to roll up your sleeves, grab your art supplies, and grow your creativity one joyful step at a time.

Think of this course like tending a garden. We’ll start by planting strong roots—learning how to draw with confidence—then nurture those skills as we explore design principles, composition, color and shading, watercolor painting, and so much more. No rushing, no pressure—just learning, practicing, and having fun along the way. Expect to make some fun, slightly unexpected art that stretches your imagination past the “normal” and into the wonderfully creative.

This course is designed to be friendly and approachable for beginners, yet playful and challenging enough to help more experienced artists grow too. We’ll sketch, paint, experiment, make a few happy messes, and learn how all those creative “ingredients” work together to make something beautiful.

Perfection is not required here. Curiosity is. You’ll build skills, discover your own style, and gain confidence as you learn to trust the process—mistakes and all.

• So come plant a few creative seeds, dig into your sketchbook, and watch what grows.
  

• We’ll begin by picking up our pencils and learning how to draw all sorts of plants, blooms, leaves, and more. Along the way, we’ll sketch some quirky gardening tools and discover how simple shapes can magically turn into just about anything.

• Next, we’ll dive into the wonderful world of color and explore how powerful it can be in everything we create. This isn’t your typical color-wheel lesson—instead, we’ll play, experiment, and paint using colors you may have never thought to try! You’ll create your very own color story as you bring plants, blooms, and garden treasures to life.

• As the lessons unfold, you’ll start to see how all of these creative pieces come together naturally—right before your eyes! We’ll explore watercolor paints, Posca paint pens, pencils, erasers, and brushes as we mix, layer, and create. Woot woot!

By the end of our time together, I hope you’ll feel inspired, confident, and excited to keep planting your own creative seeds.
